Donald

Donald

My first pony, came off Dartmoor as a foal and was covered in brand marks.†We bought him at 20 years old from a local riding school which was closing down, he was thin and had little energy.†Just a few weeks later with good food and some TLC he won me my first rosette.†We are so glad that after such a hard life we were able to give him a pleasurable time before he died at 28 years old.
Valstar Valstar as a foal

Valstar

He was my Christmas present in 1969 when he was 7 months old and and I was so proud that he was mine, he was put to sleep in 2001 two weeks short of his 32nd birthday.†Those 32 years were full of fun.†He was half Arab and was the most unpredictable animal I have ever had.†He also did not have the best of temperaments but we spent so much time together that I grew to know him inside out and we had a great relationship.†He was a big part of my life and I still miss him.
Honey

Honey

Such a sweet natured mare she replaced Donald, she came as a four year old and produced three foals, Casino, Tara and Star.†She was Valstars buddy but we sadly lost her at 18 years old with emphysema as she was so allergic to the pollen of the rape seed which was grown all around us at that time.

Casino

Casino

Honeys first foal, he was a fiery redhead but lack of time to ride him forced us to sell him at 6 years old and after a few years we unfortunately lost track of him.

Silverboy Silverboy

Silverboy

My nieces pony who lived with us from the age of 6.†He was a beautiful palamino 11.2 hh and always up to mischief, he escaped from everywhere, he used to walk into the house, he would have a drink and then dribble the water all over you and he would look for your feet to stand on, his cleverest trick though was to listen to the electric fence to hear if it was turned on, if it clicked he stayed where he was, if it didnít click he would run straight through it.†He used to jump the jumps in the field all on his own just for fun.†As a childs pony though he was excellent, Karen used to swing on his tail when she was a tot but when she rode him she needed superglue.†He was another that stayed till the end of his days, in his twenties he unfortunately got into the feed house and gorged himself on sugarbeet.†
Bess

Bess

Ian bought her out of the blue as a puppy and she lived on the farm and latterly with us after we were married.†Ian still insists that Collies are best!

Buster

Buster

Ians dads dog that also lived on the farm, he had nine lives, he was rescued from water troughs, nearly went through the baler and was pinched once and then dumped later the same day (the dirty little monkey probably cocked his leg all over the place).†

Ang

Katy

Katy at 10 years old.†In the line up after winning veteran bitch at Southern Counties 1999.
